CERTIFIED HEAT-TREATED PALLETS
If you’re shipping goods internationally, you’ll likely need heat-treated pallets that meet ISPM 15 regulations.
At Davies Pallets, we supply IPPC-stamped, export-ready pallets, processed in our on-site kiln in Liverpool for fast turnaround and full compliance.
Our heat-treated pallets are suitable for:
-
Export outside the UK and EU
-
Shipping to the USA, Australia, Asia and global markets
-
Freight by road, sea and air
What Are Heat-Treated Pallets?
Heat-treated pallets are wooden pallets that have been treated to eliminate pests and insects, making them safe for international shipping.
To meet ISPM 15 standards, the wood must be:
-
Heated to a core temperature of 56°C
-
Maintained for at least 30 minutes
Once treated, pallets are stamped with the IPPC mark, confirming they are compliant for export.

IPPC Stamp – What to Look For
Every compliant pallet will display an IPPC stamp, which includes:
-
Country code (e.g. GB)
-
Unique producer number
-
Treatment type (HT = Heat Treated)
This stamp is essential proof that your pallets meet global shipping regulations.
On-Site Kiln = Faster Turnaround
Unlike many suppliers, Davies Pallets operates an on-site heat treatment kiln in Liverpool.
This means:
-
Faster lead times
-
No reliance on third-party processing
-
Greater control over quality and availability
If you need pallets quickly for an upcoming shipment, this can make a significant difference.

Heat-Treated Pallets for Export – When Do You Need Them?
You typically need heat-treated pallets when:
-
Shipping outside the UK or EU
-
Exporting to countries with strict biosecurity laws
-
Sending goods via freight forwarders or international couriers
If you’re unsure, it’s always safer to use ISPM 15-compliant pallets.
